Martine is the only licensed trainer in TCTSY in Perth, Western Australia and Indonesia. Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a body led empirically researched and validated therapy developed by the Justice Resource Institutes Trauma Centre in Brookline, Massachusetts. Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga is the official name and is also known as TCTSY.

Who is this for?
In this course you will learn the tools and theories for understanding the impacts of trauma and stress on the nervous system and how this impacts your felt sense of embodiment.
This training will introduce you to the core concepts and applications of TCTSY, a highly regarded and evidence-based intervention for the treatment of complex trauma, PTSD and trauma induced dissociation.

Course Objectives
To develop a trauma informed lens through:
Understanding the principles of trauma, power and oppression
Explore the historical context of trauma, diagnostics and treatment and the current information on how trauma is stored in the body
To develop an understanding of the impact of attachment and complex trauma
The role of neuroscience in the context of trauma
Fostering the capacity to offer a Trauma sensitive approach through use of invitational, inquiry based and interoceptive language
Understanding how to create a space that fosters safety, curiosity and choice making.

This course has 16 hours of contact hours. To be ready for the course there is 4 hours of self paced reading assignments.

Yes!. This course is a CEAS continuing education program. As such CPD points are available. For Allied Health Professionals this training is counted towards CPD points.

No. Online participants will be sent a Zoom link prior to the workshop. Recordings will also be available if unable to attend a section of the training.

Anyone that has a human relational aspect in their life! This program really supports anyone that as part of their role comes into contact with people that can become distressed. This includes Yoga teachers and in training, mental health professionals, well being professionals, teachers, first responders, human service workers and individuals who are on their own journey towards total well being and personal discovery.
