Trauma Sensitive Yoga
About this Practice
Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga works in conjunction with conventional clinical therapies to support healing by gently assisting survivors to reconnect with their bodies in a safe supportive environment. This unique yoga therapy supports the body to feel safe, strong and comfortable and teaches people how to recognise and modulate arousal that is felt in the body. TC-TSY brings the body into treatment complementing conventional talk therapies and can support healing. In this course we do not focus on the cause of the trauma, we are working with the effects of the trauma.
Whilst we practice in a group format, the practice is individual, you inhabit your body, your space, exploring your choices.
